Tactics and Principles of Defense
Most Christians have never had any training in formal debate or of the proper way to develop an argument and defend it. This module helps to provide a basic foundation for a non-confrontational Believer on how to develop and implement strategies in debate and defending their position. The art of public debate is much more than a shouting match, and God instructs us in his word to avoid such arguments (2Tim. 2:14, 24) however we are commanded to be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks (1 Peter 3:15). The Club Member upon completion of this module will have gained an understanding of how to develop various tactics in defending their faith with a variety of skeptics.
Heroes of the Faith
Are you looking for a role model? Then look at the lives of some of the great Christians who gave everything for the sake of the gospel. As Christians who live in a land of freedom and luxury it’s hard to imagine having our lives threatened if we worship Christ. But throughout history and even today in many countries, Christians are being imprisoned, tortured, and put to death for their belief in Christ. Nothing can be more inspiring and motivating than to look into the lives who have led the battle before us. Hero’s of the Faith is a motivating module that allows the club member to prepare a series of short inspirational talks on some of their favorite hero’s. Their lives will become a continual inspiration for us to stretch to new heights and to break out of our comfort zone.
Radical Agendas in an Age of Confusion
This module helps the member understand the beliefs and history of organizations who hold contrary values to Christians. By understanding what the beliefs are and why they oppose Christian values the member will be able to compassionately share and defend their faith. This module will take a closer look as such organizations as
- The ACLU.
- Planned Parenthood.
- NOW
- National Board of Teachers.
- The Gay and Lesbian agenda.
- Hollywood
Members will give a series of short presentations covering what they have learned.
