Members gain a greater understanding of what they believe and why they believe it through the process of giving presentations on a variety of topics. All members begin with the Foundations module which helps them master the basic beliefs of their faith. After completing the Foundations module they select a module that will equip and train them in an area of their own interest.
Foundations
By giving a series of short presentations on what Christians believe and why they believe it, club members will develop the skill and confidence in sharing and defending their faith to anyone. These short presentations (four to ten minutes) will cover such important topics as:
- Witness with Confidence
- Understanding Worldviews
- The Bible
- Defending Creation
- The Uniqueness of Jesus
- Why Christianity
- Really Good Answers
Witness with Confidence
After completing Witness with Confidence you will be able to:
- Tell your story - share your testimony.
- Tell His story - share the message of salvation.
This training includes practice in giving your testimony to a group as well as role playing one-on-one in front of the group. These role playing sessions are instrumental in helping you gain the skill and confidence needed when talking to others. By the end of this module you will have gained the ability to boldly tell others about Christ and what He has done in your life. As part of completing this section you will share your story and tell His story to at least three other people and share the results with the club.
Understanding Worldviews
Our worldview determines our morals, our decisions, and our ultimate destiny, yet few Christians understand how to explain or defend their worldview. Once you have completed the Worldview section you will know:
- What the major worldviews are.
- How worldviews impact our decisions and ultimately our lives.
- What the Christian worldview is and how it is different from the others.
- Gain confidence in talking to skeptics about your beliefs by understanding theirs.
- Feel ready to answer tough questions about such things as “the Bible is God’s message for us”, “Jesus is the only way” and there is “absolute truth”.
Completing Understanding Worldviews involves giving several talks and role-playing sessions that demonstrate your skill and knowledge.
